Among the forms of Takbeer are:

First:

(Allaahu Akbar, Allaahu Akbar, La ilaaha Illa Llaah, WaLlaahu Akbar, Allaahu Akbar, WaliLlaahil Hamd)

Allaah is Greater than all else, Allaah is Greater than all else, there is no diety worthy of true worship except Allaah, Allaah is Greater than all else, Allaah is Greater than all else, and all praise is due to Allaah.

- This was authenticated from Ibnu Mas'ood.

Second:

(Allaahu Akbar Kabeerah, Allaahu Akbar Kabeerah, Allaahu Akbar wa Ajall, Allaahu Akbar WaliLlahil Hamd)

Allaah is Greater than all else, absolutely, Allaah is Greater than all else, absolutely, Allaah is Greater than all else, absolutely, and Most Glorious. Allaah is Greater than all else and all praise is due to Allaah.

- This was authenticated from Ibnu 'Abbas.

The matter is broad, so one may say Takbeer as they wish, and Allaah knows best.

Eighthly, No Adhan nor Iqamah:

The Imaam begins the salah without an Adhaan, nor an Iqamah, nor "As-Salatu Jaami'ah" (gather for the salah), nor anything else.

In the Sahihayn, from the Hadith of Ibnu 'Abbas and Jabir ibn Abdullaah Al-Ansari (رضي الله عنهم) who said:

"There was no Adhan on the day of Fitr nor on the day of Ad-ha." And in a narration by Muslim from Jabir: "There is no Adhan for the prayer on the day of Fitr when the Imam comes out, nor after he comes out, nor an Iqamah, nor a call, nor anything – no call on that day and no Iqamah."

And in Muslim, from the Hadith of Jabir ibn Samurah who said: "I observed the two Eids salah with the Messenger of Allaah, not just once or twice, without Adhan nor Iqamah."

Ninthly, the Eid salah, it's Ruling, Timing and Description.

The Eid Prayer, and it includes several matters:

1. Its Ruling: It is an obligatory salah upon every capable Muslim, male or female, in their place of residence. The evidence for this is what came in the Sahihayn, and the wording is that of Muslim, from the Hadith of Ummu Atiyyah who said:

"We were commanded – meaning by the Prophet – to bring out on the two Eids the adolescent girls and the secluded women, and he commanded the menstruating women to keep away from the prayer ground of the Muslims."

2. Its Time: It is observed after the sun has risen and the time of dislike (for salah) has passed, and its time ends before the sun reaches its zenith (noon). The evidence for this is what is authentically transmitted in Sunan Abi Dawud and Ibnu Majah, through the path of Yazid ibn Humayr Ar-Rahabiyyu who said:

"Abdullah Ibnu Yusrih, the companion of the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم (peace and blessings be upon him), went out with the people on a day of Eid Al-Fitr or Eid Al-Adha, and he disapproved of the Imaam's delay, so he said: 'We used to finish our salah at this hour,' and that was at the time of Tasbeeh (forenoon)."

3. Its Manner: It is two rak'ahs; due to the Hadith of Ibn Abbas in the Sahihayn who said:

"Indeed, the Prophet did salah of two rak'ahs on the Day of Fitr."

And in the Sahihayn – also – from the Hadith of Al-Baraa (رضي الله عنه) who said: "The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم) went out on the Day of Ad-ha to Al-Baqi' and did two rak'ahs of salah."

And it is authentically narrated in Musnadnof Imaam Ahmad from the Hadith of Umar رضي الله عنهما who said: "The salah of travel is two rak'ahs, the salah of Ad-ha is two rak'ahs, the salah of Fitr is two rak'ahs, and the Friday salah is two rak'ahs, complete without shortening, on the tongue of Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم)."

https://www.tg-me.com/AWFIBNMAALIKISAAMICLIBRARY Telegram Group/com.AwfIbnMaalikIsaamicLibrary/3829
He (صلى الله عليه وسلم) begins his salah with Takbeerat Al-Ihram (the opening Takbeer) then says seven Takbeeraat in the first Rak'ah, and five Takbirat in the second Rak'ah, excluding the Takbeerat of transition (e.g. rising), due to the Hadith of Aaishah رضي الله عنها in the Musnad of Imaam Ahmad and Sunan Abi Dawud and Ibnu Majah:

"Indeed, the Messenger of Allaah used to say seven Takbeeraat in the first (Rak'ah) and five in the second (Rak'ah) for Fitr and Ad-ha." And the Hadith is Hasan (good) due to its supporting narrations.

It is preferred not to raise one's hands during these Takbeeraat (the seven and the five), because that was not authentically established from the Prophet, but rather came from some of the Companions. And no specific remembrance (Dhikr) has been preserved from him (the Prophet) between the Takbeeraat. If one doubts the number of Takbeeraat, one should rely on certainty, which is the lesser number. If the worshipper (Ma'moom) joins the Imaam after he has started reciting, he should not say the extra Takbeeraat. Or if he catches him (the Imam) in rukoo' (bowing), he should say Takbeerat Al-Ihram, then bow, and not busy himself with making up the Takbeeraat.

And one recites Fatihah Al-Kitab (Surah Al-Faatihah) in both Rak'ahs; due to his saying

"There is no salah for one who does not recite Fatihah lAl-Kitab." Agreed upon from the Hadith of Ubadah Ibnu As-Samit.

And one recites aloud in both Rak'ahs after Al-Fatihah whatever is easy for them (from the Qur'aan). And it is recommended to recite in them Surah : Qaf and the Glorious Qur'aan (Qaf 50:1), and Surah: The Hour has Approached and the Moon has Split (Al-Qamar 54:1); due to the saying of Abu Waqid Al-Laythi who said:

"Umar Ibnu Al-Khattab asked me about what the Messenger of Allaah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) recited on the day of Eid, so I said:" The Hour has Approached" and "Qaf and by the Glorious Qur'an."' Muslim transmitted it.

Or one may recite in them the Surah:" Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High" (Al-A'la 87:1), and the Surah "Has there come to you the narrative of the Overwhelming event?" (Al-Ghashiyah 88:1); for in Sahih Muslim, from the Hadith of An-Nu'man Ibnu Bashir who said:

"The Messenger of Allaah used to recite in the two Eids and on Friday, 'Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High' and 'Has there come to you the narrative of the Overwhelming event?.' He (An-Nu'man) said: 'And if Eid and Friday coincided on the same day, he would recite them in both salahs as well.'"

And one completes his salah like other prayers.

If they did not know about Eid until after Dhuhr (midday), they should go out for the Eid salah on the following day; as it is authentically narrated in the Musnad of Ahmad and the Sunan except for At-Tirmidhi, from the path of Abu Umayr Ibnu Anas, from his uncles among the companions of the Messenger of Allaah

"Indeed, riders came to the Prophet testifying that they had seen the crescent moon yesterday. So he commanded them to break their fast, and if they woke up, they should go out to their salah ground."

How to make the most of this blessed day (of Arafah)

Writen by
Shaykh Abu AbdirRahmān Abdullaah Al-Iryaani -

So, the successful one – among Muslim men and women – is he whom Allaah grants success to seize the opportunity of this great day and honors with liberation from the fire of Hell. Making the most of it involves several matters, from them:

Tenthly, The Khutbah

It is Sunnah (recommended) to deliver the Khutbah after finishing the salah eid. It is a single Khutbah, beginning with praise and glorification of Allaah, like other khutbah. There was no pulpit to ascend, but rather he (the Prophet) would address them while standing on the ground, due to the apparent evidence, such as the Hadith of Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri ( رضي الله عنه ) who said:

"The Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم used to go out on the Day of Fitr and Ad-ha to the Musalla (salah ground). The first thing he would begin with was the salah, then he would depart and stand facing the people, while the people were sitting in their rows. He would admonish them, advise them, and command them. If he intended to send forth an expedition, he would send it forth, or if he intended to command something, he would command it, then he would depart." Agreed upon.

And the Khatib (preacher) should then be keen to admonish and remind the women, as in the Sahihayn from the Hadith of Ibnu 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما ) who said:

"I witnessed Eid Al-Fitr with the Prophet (صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ) , and Abu Bakrin, Umar, and Uthmaan (رضي الله عنهم ). They would do the salah before the Khutbah, then the Khutbah would be delivered afterwards. The Prophet (صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ) came out, as if I can still see him when he beckoned with his hand, then he approached, cutting through their rows until he reached the women. Bilal was with him, and he (the Prophet) recited:

O Prophet, when the believing women come to you to pledge allegiance ﴾ [Quran 60:12] up to the end of the verse. Then, when he finished, he said: 'Are you (women) upon that?' A single woman among them, whom no one else heard (or identified) said: 'Yes.' (Hasan [the narrator] did not know who she was). He said: 'Then give charity.' So Bilal spread out his garment, then said: 'Come, may my father and mother be ransomed for you!' So they threw their armlets and rings onto Bilal's garment."

https://www.tg-me.com/AWFIBNMAALIKISAAMICLIBRARY Telegram Group/com.AwfIbnMaalikIsaamicLibrary/3829
Eleventhly, slaughter after the Eid Salah:

It is recommended to perform the sacrifice (Ud-hiyah) on Eid Al-Adha after the salah; due to the Hadith of Jundab Ibnu Sufyan Al-Bajali ( رضي الله عنه ) who said:

"I witnessed the Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وسلم ) on the Day of Nahr (Sacrifice), and he said:

'Whoever slaughters before praying, let him slaughter another in its place. And whoever has not slaughtered, let him slaughter.'" Agreed upon.

Twelfthly, If Eid and Jumu‘ah Coincide:

If Eid and Friday coincide, then for whoever does Eid salah, the obligation of Jumu'ah salah falls away from him, and he does Dhuhr salah individually in its place. This is authentically transmitted in Sunan Abi Dawud and Ibnu Majah from the Hadith of Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه, from the Messenger of Allah (صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ) that he said:

"Indeed, two Eids have coincided on this day of yours. So whoever wishes, it suffices him from Jumu'ah salah, but we are going to perform the Jumu'ah salah."

And Abu Dawud transmitted with an authentic chain from the path of Ata' Ibnu Abi Rabah: "Ibn Az-Zubayr led us in salah on an Eid day which was also a Friday, at the beginning of the day. Then we went to the Jumu‘ah salah, but he did not come out to us, so we did salah individually. And Ibnu Abbas was in At-Ta-if, and when he arrived, we mentioned that to him, and he said: 'He followed the Sunnah.'"

Note:

This does not mean that Ibnu Az-Zubayr did not do salatu Dhuhr at home. This was stated by our Shaykh Muqbil Al-Wadi'i in Al-Jami' As-Sahih (2/215).

Thirteenth, Do not fast:

It is not permissible to fast on the two Eid days and the days of Tashreeq. In the Sahihayn, from the Hadith of Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri ( رضي الله عنه ) who said:

"The Prophet صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ forbade fasting on the Day of Fitr and the Day of Nahr."

And Muslim transmitted from the Hadith of Ibn Umar and Aaishah رضي الله عنها who said:

"It was not permitted to fast during the days of Tashreeq except for one who could not find a sacrificial animal (Hady)."

https://www.tg-me.com/AWFIBNMAALIKISAAMICLIBRARY Telegram Group/com.AwfIbnMaalikIsaamicLibrary/3829
Fourteenth, Greeting each other on Eid:

Greeting each other on Eid is legislated. Shaykh Al-Islaam Ibnu Taymiyyah said:

"As for greeting on the Day of Eid, where some say to others when they meet after the Eid salah: 'May Allaah accept from us and from you' (TaqabbalaLlaahu minna wa minkum), and 'May Allaah make it return to you' (Ahalahu Allaahu alayk), and similar phrases, this has been narrated from a group of the Companions that they used to do it, and the Imams, such as Imaam Ahmad and others, permitted it. However, Ahmad said:

'I do not initiate it with anyone, but if someone initiates it with me, I respond to him.'

This is because responding to a greeting is obligatory, whereas initiating the greeting is not an enjoined Sunnah, nor is it something forbidden. So, whoever does it has a precedent, and whoever leaves it also has a precedent." check out Majmoo' Al-Fatawa (24/253).

Fifteenth, Being generous to your family:

It is permissible for a man to be generous to his family on this day with food and drink, and with some permissible amusement. From Aaishah رضي الله عنها who said:

"Abu Bakrin entered, and with me were two girls from the Ansar reciting poetry about what the Ansar said on the day of Bu'ath." She said: "And they were not professional singers." Abu Bakrin said: "The flutes of Satan in the house of the Messenger of Allaah صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ?!"

And that was on an Eid day. The Messenger of Allaah صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said: "O Abu Bakrin! Indeed, every people has an Eid, and this is our Eid." Agreed upon.

In conclusion, stay away from bid'ah and sins:

One should be wary of committing innovations and sins, such as reviving the night of Eid (with specific acts of worship not legislated), dedicating visits to graves, abandoning congregational salawaat, mixing between strange non related men and women, and a woman going out perfumed and displaying her adornment (tabarruj).

All praise is due to Allaah, the Lord of all existence.

O Lord! Help me, and do not help (others) against me; and aid me, and do not aid (others) against me, and plot for me (in my favor), and do not plot against me. The Descent of Mercy and Allaah

Shaykh Al-Islaam Ibnu Taymiyyah رحمه الله said :

And he should strive in dhikru (remembrance) and du'a (supplication) on this evening [of Arafat], for Iblis has never been seen smaller, more humiliated, more enraged, or more defeated than on the evening of Arafat, due to what he sees of the descent of mercy and Allaah, the Exalted, (and Allaah) overlooking of grave sins.
